It’s 2019 and health tech companies are churning out incredible products and solutions, each one better than the last. In this roundup, we take a closer look at 10 of the best healthcare tech companies that are turning heads in the cardiovascular world.
These are the companies driving the future of cardiovascular disease diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and patient care. What’s more, they include established tech firms as well as some of the best healthcare startups to watch in 2019 and beyond.
#1. Omron
Omron, a Japanese electronics company, tops our list for the 10 Best Health Tech Companies, making advances in the cardiovascular space. And with good reason. Combining AI, smart wearable, and the latest in ECG technologies, Omron has designed and engineered some of the smartest devices for heart health management. Its flagship product, coyly called HeartGuide, just snapped up the award, Best of CES: most revolutionary wearable.
HeartGuide by Omron is the first wrist-worn personal blood pressure monitor. It is the first of its kind and has already raised a few eyebrows. The device itself is full of beauty inside and out. It can help the wearer not only monitor blood pressure on the fly but also track your fitness (like most smartwatches) and monitor your sleep patterns. Even more significant is the cardiology, the device allows a physician to gather patient data and make better-informed decisions when it comes to treatment and care.
#2. Bay Labs, Inc.
Diagnosing cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) early on is one of the most challenging issues facing cardiologists and doctors across the globe. That’s where Bay Labs, Inc. comes to the rescue. The health tech firm leverages the power of Artificial Intelligence (or deep learning, to be precise) and cardiac imaging to deliver precise diagnosis and improved management of CVDs.
Bay Labs uses its groundbreaking tech to cost-effectively onboard and train more cardiologists and healthcare professionals on how to take and interpret echocardiograms in a snap. In 2017, the company was named one of the most promising artificial intelligence startups at NVIDIA’s Inception Competition.

At the heart of BioCardia is Helix Biotherapeutic Delivery System. It’s the world’s most advanced catheter that allows for targeted delivery of gene and cell-based therapies to the heart muscle through the skin.
